Absolute Building Contractors is a proud family business situated in the Manning Valley. First established in 1989, for more than three decades we’ve been delivering building services of only the highest quality.

We are locally owned and pride ourselves on employing trades people from the area. We also use local suppliers on all our projects ensuring we have the confidence to provide only top quality products and services.

Our customers appreciate this personal service and realise that all building projects are a team effort – from site assessment, regular face-to-face meetings right through to the end product.

Our work is diverse, covering many aspects of the building industry, from first-home buyer projects to prestige residential homes, unit development, townhouses, medium commercial development, alterations and renovations.

When we retired and moved to the country we were looking for a builder our dream home. We found Rod to be a ‘traditional style’ builder who is on site, building the house with his team. He employs local tradespeople to work for him that share the same core values he does. Rod always kept us informed of the progress at all times. He was never too busy to talk to us or answer our questions and never having before, there were a few. The completion date was met as per contract. The attention to quality, detail and workmanship is first class. The site was always kept clean & tidy. The price quoted to build our house was the price we paid. How important is it to set a budget at the beginning of the building process

It’s important to decide how much you can spend right from the start. This will help you with your decision making processes about your new home. For example, the size, the type of materials used and the fittings you are looking to install. Before we start working with you on a design, it’s good to decide what your must-haves are, so you can be informed of the financial elements of the build and any compromises you might need to make.

Am I able to change my mind on various fittings after the build has started?

Some changes can be made after the start of the build. However, they can often result in cost overruns and time delays. We feel that it’s best to take the time right at the beginning to make sure you are totally happy with all your choices in fittings before work gets underway. The more time you spend planning, the smoother the build process will be. We can help you with samples of various finishes to make sure you understand what your options are before we start.

As the owner, how involved should I be in the building process?

We consider it a privilege to partner with our customers when building their new home and we encourage clear and regular communication throughout the build. You can follow the progress of the work through email updates, or have regular site visits to chat with out team. You get to decide how involved you will be.

What’s the benefit from choosing a smaller family-run company?

Many homeowners like the personal touch. Which is why we pride ourselves on our local connections. When working with us you’ll deal with the same builder from start to finish of your build. This helps to make communication simpler and more straight-forward. We’ll also organise fortnightly site meetings and weekly progress reports. Some clients prefer to have more regular site meetings, emails and phone conversations to keep in touch with the build as it progresses, which we’re happy to accommodate.
